Emergency Relief Funding

Dear Members,

The news about the COVID-19 virus is truly sobering, as the number of cases rises at an exponential rate. The number of reported cases in NYC is nearing 4,000 as of 10:00am, March 20

I know that you are all stressed about your companies and your loved ones. I certainly am.

That is why I am thrilled to announce that the New York Community Trust has announced a $75 million NYC COVID-19 RESPONSE AND IMPACT FUND in partnership with a consortium of funders, including The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, Bloomberg Philanthropies, The Ford Foundation, and many more. Click here for a complete list of funders.

The Fund will make grants of up to $250,000 to cover Personnel Costs, equipment to comply with remote work, and new and emergency needs. Nonprofits with 501(c)(3) status and budgets under $20 million (excluding government contracts), who receive NYC or NY State Government Funding, and demonstrate "a track record of robust programming and services to NYC residents" are eligible to apply.

Please read more here and download the proposal questionnaire here.

I truly could NOT have gotten through this week without YOU! Communicating with you and on your behalf to influencers in the city, the funding community, and the media has been the food that sustains me. Thank you!

Take heart, take care and remember: We are here for you and we are in this together! A.R.T./New York will continue to advocate on your behalf for continued support from all sectors.

Now start working on that proposal!

Best,
Ginny
