COVID-19 Response

For nearly 50 years A.R.T/New York had brought theatre-makers together, created a community, offered up rental space, provided workshops, and housed audience members. Your health and safety are of the utmost importance to us, which is why we continue to maintain rigorous health and safety protocols at all of our facilities & locations

A.R.T./New York has developed thorough operations and safety plans for operating amid the COVID-19 pandemic. These plans are forward-thinking and flexible, incorporating all the knowledge and resources made available to us by the State of New York, the CDC, WHO, and the guidance of experts in our community, as well as experts in the field of operations, HVAC, and sanitation.

Update as of July 1, 2022

Please find our full policy below.

After much consideration, and following the release of the Key2NYC requirements earlier this spring, A.R.T./New York has made the decision to cease checking for vaccination status at South Oxford Space and [email protected] Masks will still be required in public spaces and we will continue to uphold our members’ and individual renters’ safety measures in their spaces.

All other existing A.R.T./New York safety measures remain in place, including the mask requirements for all individuals in common areas, regardless of vaccination status.

We continue to offer online workshops, roundtable discussions, and grant information sessions, with some in-person, some virtually, and some in a hybrid setting. Please visit our full calendar for additional details.

Before your visit to any of our locations, please review the COVID-19 safety guidelines, agreements, and other important information below. Our aim is for you to be safe and feel comfortable and welcome, as we uphold the collective safety of our field. Contact us at [email protected] if you have any questions or concerns. For rental inquiries, please proceed to our space page or email our facilities team at Stephanie Bok at [email protected] with your questions.
